Welcome to the Temple Baptist College Library

The library provides more than 17,000 volumes of books, periodicals,
videos and other resources. Materials are arranged according to the Dewey Decimal System,
The general categories are as follows:

000 Generalities                                    500 Natural Sciences and Mathematics

100 Philosophy & Psychology                   600 Technology (Applied Science)

200 Religion                                         700 The Arts

300 Social Sciences                              800 Literature and rhetoric

400 Language                                      900 Geography and history

A computer catalog is located in the casual seating area of the library… instructions for use; beginning with
the Search Screen may be found located above the computer. The library staff is also
available to help.

Temple Baptist College is a member of the SouthWest Ohio and Neighboring Libraries , also known
as the SWON. This means that with a valid Temple ID card, students may check out
materials from other participating schools. Students are responsible for any materials borrowed.

With proper identification, students may be eligible for a borrower’s card from the Public Libraries.
A branch of the Hamilton County Library is located 1.6 miles west of Temple on Kenn Road.

Wednesday, Friday,                                9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Library is closed during Chapel Services Monday  10:40 – 11:10 AM
                                                           Thursday 7:00  - 8:00 PM

General Policy
The Library seeks to maintain a relaxed environment conducive to learning, intellectual achievement
and character development.

Circulation Policies
A valid bar-coded ID card is required to borrow materials.
Borrowing privileges are not transferable to others.
 

Loan Periods

Reserve Materials times are set by Instructors.

Renewing Materials
Books may be renewed twice if they are not on reserve and do not have a hold placed on them.
Books should be renewed before they are past due.

Fines and Charges
Books              $0.25 per item per day
Videos             $1.00 per item per day

Donation to Temple Library
Temple Library appreciates those interested in our collection and facilities. Donations play an
important role in the growth and development of the library, as it serves the students and faculty
of Temple College. The library accepts monetary, and book donations. All donations given with
a name and address will be acknowledged with a letter at the end of the year, or earlier if needed.

Curriculum Resource Center
Mission is to support the Education Department by providing educational materials for the use of teacher training. At this time a large part of the material is located in the staff office on the second floor. Materials located in the library may be found by searching the computer catalog.

Biblical and Scientific Creationism
Temple Library houses several hundred books and videos on the subject of Biblical Creationism.

Special Needs
The Library Has now been relocated to the Ground Floor those who were unable to use the library due to its third floor 
location will not further face the problem
