Since ancient times, music and worship have been inseparable. Music has been used not only to express thanksgiving, joy and sorrow,but to teach, speak and as a means of prayer. Music is used to give praise and glory to God in the highest. However, we see an overwhelming force that steers our musical notions in non-biblical directions. We also see a need to perform the beauty and goodness of church music as God has intended: The psalmists have commanded us to “play with skill, to make His praise glorious (Psalms 66:2).” As church musicians and ministers, we need to be prepared to present ourselves as servants of God and professional musicians, with dignityand respect to the sovereign God, by mastering the musical and biblical knowledge needed to pursue His ministry

With that in mind, it is our goal and mission to help music ministers and future educators to:

1. Perform well to serve God properly, by achieving excellence through a diligent study of music theory, music history and application.

2.Understand the Biblical theology of music to perform and create music in a way that conforms to the biblical context as it was intended..

3.Build a solid foundation, both spiritually and musically, that will make way to defining the direction of Christian music.
